GRAMASIRI is a secular, Non-Political and Rural Based Voluntary Organisation established in the year 1981 with the parental constructive organizers of SDRSI, Tirupati for completion of Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction programmes of 1977 devastated cyclone, with its Office at Jayaprakash Nagar, NANDIRAJUTHOTA (PO), Bapatla Mandal, Guntur District and to improve the socio-economic conditions. The society was Registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and got Registered under F.C.R.A. bearing No. 010190022. The multi sectoral activities, which the organization aims at include economic development, social upliftment, improving health, sanitary conditions and literacy status besides protecting the environment with all its Bio-diversity. To begin with, the Gramasiri undertook activities relating to cylone relief and rehabilitation, supply of food material and clothing, constructing pucca houses and permanent houses, construction of community centers. The other programmes conduct of eye camps, veterinary camps, safe mother hood construction of Bio gas plants and child survival , lift irrigations and Micro credit through self help groups.
